I purchased my first pair of Golden Goose sneakers a few months ago (which I originally featured in this post), and received a number of questions about them since then. So many that I decided it was finally time to do a full write-up! I’ve also worn them enough now that I understand how they really perform, and a number of other aspects about them, which you’ll see me go more into detail about.

Where were you able to get your pair?
Cettire had them on sale and I took advantage right away!
Placed my order on the 28th of April and they were delivered by the 30th, so the shipping was lightning fast and that’s a win in my book
How much do they run?
When I bought my pair in April, I paid around $385, but their standard price is around $514.
Golden Goose sneakers typically range from $410 and $1,700, depending on how detailed they are.
Are they true to size?
I’d say they fit true to size, based on my pair.
Since they keep their shape and half sizes aren’t available, I’d recommend sizing up.
Is the comfort worth it?
They felt good almost immediately. I wear no-show socks with them, especially since my feet get sweaty. They’re made with real Italian leather, so it’s much more easy than breaking in fake leather. Plus, they’re already softened so your feet just adjust easily.
Do they hold up well?
Because they already have scuffs, I didn’t worry about getting them dirty. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they still look great. The laces are intact, and the leather hasn’t stretched. Because they already look worn, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
Do they feel better than other shoes?
Nothing else compares in comfort or quality. I’ve tried others like Vejas, but Golden Goose still come out on top. They have a hidden arch lift that adds support and height — making your legs look longer. Also, they’re handmade in small batches, so each pair is one of a kind. And the shine on mine? Next-level.
Are they worth it?
Totally! Just try not to pay full price. They’re expensive, so getting them on sale is a better idea. They’re worth the investment, especially if you find a style that suits you. I chose a loud pair, but a minimalist version would also be smart.
